The Construct of a Forgotten View (2022)

野焼き陶器、木材、コンクリート、笹、ファウンド・オブジェクト

This work is inspired by an overlooked Kogoike ancient kiln in Tokomane, Aichi. We collected clay casts of tree bark from the woodland growing around the site and cast them with Tokoname clay and experimented with constructing a kiln to fire the pieces. Thinking about the past in the present and in the future.

『忘れ去られた景色の構築』は、愛知県、常滑市にひっそりと佇む篭池古窯に着想を得て作られました。古窯の周りにある雑木林の樹皮をかたどった陶器は常滑の粘土で作られ、常滑で野焼きされたものです。この作品には過去と現在、未来の思いが込められています。
